Vancouver, BC – November 18, 2010 – Tri-M Engineering and Tri-M Systems Inc. have merged to become one company under the name Tri-M Technologies Inc. The new company, through the leadership of recently appointed President and CEO John Diack, came about in order to provide customers with one source for engineered and commercial off-the-shelf power solutions and embedded systems hardware. During the merger, Tri-M also expanded its Marketing, Supply Chain, Applications Engineering, Sales, Technical Services, and System Integration departments to support its strategic growth plans.

Tri-M Systems sold power solutions and embedded system products developed by Tri-M Engineering. They also distributed other brands of products, and built complete solutions for embedded applications. The new structure will remove the confusion of the separate business entities and the products and services each company offered. As a new company, Tri-M Technologies Inc. will distribute Tri-M branded power solutions and embedded system hardware in addition to the existing line of 3rd party products. The company will also continue to focus on developing embedded solutions for specific applications.
An embedded system comprised of a power supply and computing hardware is designed to manage, control and monitor mechanical or digital equipment. The system is embedded into the mechanical or digital equipment. Embedded systems are found everywhere and can be included in medical devices, industrial machinery, robotics, avionics, GPS, automotive systems and appliances.

Ed Foster was one of the founding partners of Tri-M Engineering and has watched his company move from small scale product development and production to a company that supports clients around the world with its products and solutions.
