For the first time in Australia, The Palo Roadshow rolls into town in March 2010.
Hosted by Naked Data, a Jedox Certified Partner and a leading implementer of Palo in Australia, the event showcases the latest award winning Palo Business Intelligence Suite.
Palo is the leading in-memory OLAP open source solution for planning and forecasting with native connectors to Major ERP systems. This allows the seamless movement of data to Palo to endure consistency, accuracy and traceability of the numbers.
Chris Mentor, Director at Naked Data says “The Roadshow showcases how quickly Open Source has moved beyond backend servers and into fully fledged Enterprise Applications. It is a way of saying that Palo has well and truly arrived in Australia. Leading organisations adopting Palo will deliver real life user stories demonstrating Palo’s effectiveness in the Australian business environment. ”
Jedox, the developer of Palo is headquartered in Germany and is a certified SAP Software Partner. Nigel Pendse, author of the OLAP Report noted at the recent Palo Open in Germany that large providers are overly concerned with integrating their many new acquisitions. Pendse advised corporate BI users to choose the best products on the market, which generally are offered by smaller providers such as Jedox.
Open Source is well and truly part of the global IT landscape where Gartner predicts by 2011, at least 80% of all commercial software solutions will include elements of open source.
The Australian business community is recognising the real value of Open Source is how it solves everyday issues while squeezing more productivity out of a significantly lower IT budget. Open Source means flexibility, performance, and reliability. A recent Forrester survey found 87 % realised the cost savings expected from open source and 92 % had quality expectations met or exceeded by open-source software.
“With Palo we deliver a lot more value to our clients for a lot less money than traditional BI proprietary software.” stated Mr Mentor. “Our consultants also find it easier to implement and support because it is not a cobbled-together hodge podge of different products. Open Source Palo de-risks a project by dramatically lowering the overall project cost. This takes pressure off the project and allows the client to truly realise their BI vision.”
The Palo Australian Roadshow will consist of three events:
SYDNEY – Monday, 22nd March 2010
CANBERRA – Tuesday, 23rd March 2010
MELBOURNE – Friday, 26th March 2010
