Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, has just announced its new tensile tester narrow fabric grips. The pneumatic flat grips minimize operator influence, increase the speed of testing, and minimize jaw breaks. These grips are ideal for hard to hold materials, particularly those having a tendency to yield in the jaws. The grips maintain a uniform holding pressure upon the specimen regardless of its character or construction.

These clamps are ideal for testing narrow textiles and paper, whether the elongation is low or high. The capacity of the flat grips range from 25 lbs. to 750 lbs. maximum.

Electro Standards offers “Try before Buy.” Electro Standards will test customer specimens to determine the proper grips for the application. Grips are adaptable to many makes and models of tensile testers.
