Whether as stand-alone units or in CompactPCI(r) format, MEN’s industrial Ethernet switches are easily customizable low-power platforms for harsh environments. They come with an extended firmware package to fulfill all requirements of a highly demanding application. The management firmware enables individual configuration of all ports via command line interface, SNMP (version 3) and through an HTTP web server.

Equipped for applications with high data rates and high bandwidth, MEN’s new CompactPCI(r) PlusIO SBC also offers many new Intel(r) features. Based on the Intel(r) i7-2715QE quad-core processor, the F21P supports 2nd-generation PCI Express(r) and 3rd-generation SATA, faster TurboBoost, improved AMT (Active Management Technology) as well as 4 "genuine¿ or 8 virtual cores via HyperThread, and a faster monolithic graphics core.

The constant extension of MEN’s CompactPCI(r) Serial product range is now continued with the launch of another peripheral board. Equipped with four optical fiber channels which are connected to the backplane via a PCI Express(r) x4 link, the Ethernet interface board G211F offers high-speed connections over long distances.

The PICMG specification CPCI-S.0 CompactPCI Serial as a successor of the parallel CompactPCI paves the way to serial point-to-point connections at the backplane. As a manufacturer of Embedded hardware, MEN Mikro Elektronik already offers the first CPU board with an Intel(r) i7 processor as well as a range of peripheral boards with different I/O functions for building up complete systems.

The G20 single-board computer which is based on the new PICMG CompactPCI(r) Serial standard has got reinforcements. MEN has constantly extended its product range of CompactPCI(r) Serial components and is now able to offer the user complete solutions consisting of different peripheral boards, a CompactPCI(r) Serial rack and a mezzanine board for extended functionality.

On the occasion of the Embedded World, MEN Mikro Elektronik presents an Ethernet switch to extend its CompactPCI(r) Serial portfolio. The G301 completes the offer of CompactPCI(r) Serial boards for individually building up a complete system and convinces with its robustness and speed thanks to the new standard.

CompactPCI(r) Serial, PICMG CPCI-S.0, is a new standard for modular 19" systems based on fast serial connections, which excels through a multitude of application possibilities, while remaining simple and inexpensive.

During the Embedded World in Nuremberg, the PICMG will officially release the new bus standard CompactPCI(r) Serial. MEN Mikro Elektronik together with PICMG Europe and other PICMG members uses this opportunity to present CompactPCI(r) Serial at the trade show and in a press conference.

MEN Mikro Elektronik has achieved an e1 type approval by the German Federal Motor Transport Authority. This qualification is based on ISO 9001 (quality management) and is required for the application of electronic assemblies in road traffic.

In September 2010, on the InnoTrans – the world’s biggest railway exhibition in Berlin – MEN presented its latest complete display solution. The DC2 is MEN’s first panel PC with capacitive touch and is well suited for harsh and mobile fields of application.
