AMD will demo Express Logic’s ThreadX RTOS running on the AMD Embedded G-Series Platform at the Embedded Systems Conference. The ThreadX RTOS and G-Series will target medical and gaming systems.

Express Logic has ported the ThreadX RTOS along with NetX, USBX and TraceX to Renesas RX600 MCUs. The combined technologies share a focus on small footprint, connected, real-time control–an ideal match for industrial, healthcare, metering, and building automation applications.

A first for the small footprint RTOS, Express Logic delivers the ability to run Downloadable Application Modules to the ThreadX RTOS. Downloadable modules enable superior functionality, remote product updates and dynamic memory sharing without boosting memory or footprint.

Express Logic and Blue Water Embedded deliver PrismX, a complete graphics toolkit for the ST Micro’s Cortex-M3-based STM32 family. PrismX brings leading-edge GUI development tools and libraries for resource-constrained devices in medical, industrial, office automation and consumer markets where user interfaces play an essential role in device design. Bernina has selected Express Logic’s ThreadX to power the new Bernina 830, the world’s most innovative sewing and embroidery system for home users. ThreadX’s excellent performance and small footprint on the ARM9 ably power this highly programmable system which delivers touch-screen programmability, graphics scalability and other advanced features.

Express Logic and Blue Peach join forces to bring network capabilities to ThreadX-based devices. Blue Peach’s Blue Share brings CIFS protocol enabling file sharing of memory, printing and storage between the 800 million devices in consumer, medical and industrial automation devices that ThreadX powers.

Express Logic has added ThreadX support for the CEVA-TeakLite-III(tm) DSP core. Like Express Logic’s ThreadX, CEVA-TeakLite-III targets SoCs for consumer, mobile, networking, and office automation.

With the need for secure connectivity on the rise, Express Logic has teamed with Cypherbridge to offer the latest in SSL technology for wired and wireless networks via Express Logic’s NetX Duo TCP/IP stack for IPv4 and IPv6.

Express Logic has released the next version of TraceX, its graphical real-time event trace analyzer. Improved real-time granularity, search capabilities, and user interface functionality speed optimization and debug.
